According to Variety, The Maze Runner films and “Teen Wolf” star Dylan O’Brien is taking a detour into dark comedy with 20th Century Fox’s Little White Corvette.
The logline for the film says it follows a down and out brother and sister who go to Miami to profit off a duffel bag of cocaine that they found in the trunk of a 1977 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray left to them by their dead father, which sounds a little like a more family-oriented True Romance crossed with Corvette Summer.
Academy Award-winning producer Graham King (The Departed, World War Z) of GK Films has been developing Little White Corvette since 2012, when it was initially developed as a vehicle (no pun intended) for Emma Stone, who is no longer attached. English writer Iain Morris, co-creator of sitcom “The Inbetweeners,” is in talks to direct the movie.
O’Brien will next be seen opposite Mark Wahlberg in the true-life drama Deepwater Horizon, and will reprise his role of Thomas for Fox’s 2017 threequel Maze Runner: The Death Cure.
