Halo: Reach was released on Xbox One through backwards compatibility earlier this month. But unfortunately, the 2010 Xbox 360 game is apparently running into some issues in the emulated version.
A Microsoft representative issued a statement to Kotaku on the matter.
“We’re aware some users are experiencing issues playing Halo: Reach via Xbox One backward compatibility. The Xbox engineering team is currently looking into the issues and are working to address them,” the representative said.
There are numerous reports online in forums and Reddit where players are complaining that Halo: Reach’s frame rate on Xbox One is less than ideal.
“We need to talk about the Halo: Reach port to Xbox One,” someone wrote in the Halo Waypoint forums. “It’s unplayable! I’m getting 10-20 FPS whereas my 360 runs it at a smooth 25-30 FPS…”
Other people in that thread, as well as other threads online, report encountering similar problems.
