20th Century Fox‘s take on Marvel‘s Merc with a Mouth has officially been rated R by the MPAA, but that doesn’t mean it’s not going to be a challenge for them to market this filthy filthy movie to the general public in a PG way. The solution? Make mockingly family-friendly posters and super silly billboards that sell Deadpool‘s anarchic humor. Check out the new posters and billboards in the gallery below, along with Patton Oswalt’s tweet of a hilarious emoji billboard, as well as the Ryan Reynolds’ response.

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Ryan Reynolds stars as the title character alongside T.J. Miller as Weasel, Gina Carano as Angel Dust, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Morena Baccarin as Copycat and Ed Skrein as Ajax. The film will also feature the mutant Colossus, voiced by Serbian actor Stefan Kapicic.

Tim Miller is directing the movie from a script by Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Deadpool is scheduled for a release on February 12, 2016.
