Though the trailers and TV spots don’t hide what Wade Wilson’s face looks like under that Deadpool mask, a new photo from the film shows Deadpool unmasked while in uniform! Check it out in the gallery below along with two new images from Ryan Reynolds’ Twitter account as he continues his world press tour.
Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
Ryan Reynolds stars as the title character alongside T.J. Miller as Weasel, Gina Carano as Angel Dust, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa Carlysle/Copycat and Ed Skrein as Ajax. The film will also feature the mutant Colossus, voiced by Serbian actor Stefan Kapicic.
Tim Miller directs from a script by Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Deadpool will open in theaters on February 12.
