Sony Pictures will reveal the full trailer online on March 3, but with the Toy Fair event in New York, we’re getting an early look at the villain of Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters reboot, which should be familiar to most fans of the franchise. Thanks to Pixel Dan, we can take a gander at Rowan, the movie’s big bad who appears to be based on the iconic “No Ghosts” logo, designed by the original film’s producer Michael C. Gross (who passed away this past November). We also get a look at some other ghosts in toy form, including a winged demon and the return of fan fav Slimer! Check out the Ghostbusters villain below along with a video embed showing off all the new toys!
The Ghostbusters movie stars Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Melissa McCarthy and Leslie Jones in the four lead roles. The film is also set to feature Chris Hemsworth as the new secretary, Andy Garcia as the Mayor of New York City, Michael K. Williams as a character named “Hawkins,” Matt Walsh as a character named “Rourke,” and Neil Casey as the film’s villain. New York City’s NY1 news anchor Pat Kiernan is also set to appear as news anchor in the film.
The Ghostbusters movie is directed by Feig from a script he co-wrote with Katie Dippold. It will debut in theaters on July 15.
