ast month, 343 Industries revealed Halo 5: Guardian‘s upcoming free content plans for the spring and summer. Among the list of updates included a new take on the “Firefight” co-op multiplayer mode called “Warzone Firefight,” and the developers revealed more information — including a new trailer — about it during the finals of the Halo World Championship.
Unlike most of the multiplayer modes in Halo 5: Guardians, Warzone Firefight is a cooperative-based match where up to eight players will need to work together and defeat five waves of increasingly difficult enemies. The developers also added a new tier of bosses, titled “Mythics,” which could make for a tougher fight when combined with the already-intimidating swarm of enemies.
Warzone Firefight is the final installment of 343 Industries’ free content lineup when it arrives in the summer. Before that, there will be three other updates for the game: “Ghosts of Meridian,” “Memories of Reach” and “Hog Wild.” For now, fans can look forward to the Ghosts of Meridian update when it arrives in April. It will introduce additional items for multiplayer such as weapons, helmets, vehicles and a new Warzone map titled “Skirmish at Darkstar.”
