Twitter is adding a new button to its Android and iOS apps today that makes it simple to send tweets directly to other users.
The tool is meant to help take public content private, so it can be shared and discussed with individuals in direct messages. Twitter says it is adding the button due to user feedback. Users have always been able to share public tweets privately via direct messages, but it previously took more effort.
Now, users can tap the new button and send right from the tweet in question.
The update will hit Android and iOS devices starting today.
