Google today added podcasts to the online and Android versions of its Google Music service.
Similar to how Google Music suggests playlists for certain moods or activities, so too will the service recommend podcasts based on interests and activities.
Google Music users will also be able to find and subscribe to their favorite podcasts. The tool allows people to automatically download several episodes for each podcast they subscribe to, or receive alerts when new episodes are available.
Along with the new service for consumers, Google has made available a portal for podcast creators so they can share their podcasts through Google Music. Podcasts are coming to Google Music in the U.S. and Canada first, with other regions to follow.
