A federal judge says Amazon deserves to be on the hook for charges rung up by children on mobile devices.
Consumers complained it was too easy for children to spend money on in-app purchases without proper authorization. The U.S. Federal Trade Commission took action against Amazon.
The judge overseeing the case agreed with the FTC’s position that Amazon should be liable, but has yet determine what recourse is needed. The FTC is pushing for full refunds to the impacted consumers.
