T-Mobile said it has signed an interconnect and roaming agreement with Empresa De Telecomunicaciones De Cuba, allowing its customers to call Cuba as well as roam when visiting Cuba.
T-Mobile says its U.S. customers can call Cuban landlines and wireless phones for $0.60 per minute when they subscribe to the Stateside International Talk feature for $15 per month.
The deal also allows travelers to use voice, text, and data service in Cuba, though roaming won’t be available until the summer months.
Sprint and Verizon forged interconnect and roaming agreements with Cuba last year.
