Candace Payne, who went viral after live-streaming her reaction to trying on a Chewbecca mask and thinking it was the funniest thing she had ever seen, was invited to carpool with James Corden and Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams. While the Late Late Show host stressed about getting to work on time, Abrams was more concerned about giving Payne a few tips for perfecting her Wookiee impression.
Later in the show, Corden shared a clip of the moment Payne met Abrams, then relayed a message from the real Chewbacca, Peter Mayhew.
