Some new shipment data has been spotted in the wild which suggests that Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 might be just around the corner.
Folks over at VideoCardz have actually found two new shipment listings. The first reveals an “E2914” board with GP106 that has 6GB ‘GDD(R5)’ memory on board while the other “PG410” listing shows that the GP106 could feature 192-bit memory bus.

Since the two board come with different SKUs, this means GeForce GTX 1060 could be available in two memory variants: 6GB and 4GB – at least that is what the listings suggest.
Last month, Nvidia revealed the GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 both based on the latest Pascal GP104 GPU. Nvidia claims the new cards are faster than the previous generation flagships at almost half the price, but still they are not cheap at all. Even the less powerful GTX 1070, which was the best price versus performance value, won’t address the mid-range market.
But now it seems like Team Green will finally have a graphics solution that will directly compete with AMD’s $199 Radeon RX 480.
If a previous teaser from Inno3D is to be believed, the GeForce GTX 1060 will deliver performance somewhere between the currently available GeForce GTX 970 and GTX 980 graphics cards. The card is expected to priced lower than GTX 970 – anywhere from $225 to $275.
