Mafia III is about getting in out of trouble. In previous Mafia games, you’ve risen through the ranks of the titular organized crime group, but the story is taking a different turn this time around .
Mafia III takes place in a fictionalized version of New Orleans called New Bordeaux and puts you in the shoes of Lincoln Clay, a former soldier who finds himself betrayed by the Italian Mob and goes on a quest for revenge. The first thing you noticed about the game are the visual inconsistencies. Sometimes the environments and the character renders are just amazing, other times they’re slopp.This may be due to in still be a work in progress. Or at least we hope so.
Gameplay appears to play almost exactly like the most recent Hitman, which may hurts sales since people may not want that in the Mafia world!. It is stall a more nasty and action play in Mafia III over what you do in Hitman, but still not the favor of a past Mafia game.
Even with the great than sucky visuals getting in the way, the game is till very fun. The game can still suck you into its world and the backdrop of the fake NOLA only adds value to the game.
