Facebook has showed off a new version of its Messenger application, which the company says is easier to use.
Messenger now displays the most recent messages at the top of the screen, with a section showing the user’s favorites below. Facebook says the favorites section will include the friends with whom people converse the most.
Facebook has changed up the Active Now section to provide a clearer view of who’s online and available for chats, and added reminders for events such as birthdays. Messenger also recently added an emoji-based soccer game, and an expanded set of emoji.
Messenger is free to download from the iTunes App Store and Google Play Store.
