Cricket Wireless recently unveiled an offer meant to lure in customers of competing carriers.
Through July 14, Cricket will reward consumers who port in their number with $50 in bill credits. Moreover, consumers who also bring their own device will receive an additional $35 in bill credits. Cricket says people who switch to Cricket will need to sign up for a service plan costing at least $40 per month and make two monthly payments before they are eligible to receive the bill credits.
There is a small catch. Cricket is charging a $25 activation fee, as well as a $10 SIM card kit fee for those who bring their own device.
The offer is available at Cricket retail stores as well as through Cricket’s web site.
