Gotham fans will be happy to know that the shooting for the third season is well underway.
The first photos have been released (via Comingsoon), which show guest star Jamie Chung. She will be taking on the role of Valerie Vale. The scene is her encounter with Jim Gordon, played by Ben McKenzie on the streets. Other set photos seem to indicate a heated discussion between the two. Gotham Season 3 will also see the debut of mob scion Mario Falcone, son of big boss man Carmine Falcone. The Good Wife’s James Carpinello will take on the role as the black sheep of the mafia family.
Gotham also stars Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock, Michael Chiklis as Detective Nathaniel Barnes, Sean Pertwee as Alfred, Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean, David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne, Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle/the future Catwoman, Cory Michael Smith as Edward nygma/the future Riddler, and Chris Chalk as Lucius Fox.
New villains from the Batman lore are set to be present for the new season including The Court of Owls, Mad Hatter, Solomon Grundy, and more. In addition, the new season will also see Poison Ivy undergoing a change with the character now set to be played by Maggie Geha, taking over for Clare Foley who played the character in the first two seasons of the series. It was revealed that the character finds herself “reborn as a 19-year-old woman who’s harnessed the full power of her charms and sets her sights on Bruce Wayne.”
