The CW‘s Supergirl season two is adding another DC Comics mainstay as EW reports that Ian Gomez has signed on to play Snapper Carr in a recurring role. According to the outlet, this iteration of Snapper Carr will be the new Editor-in-Chief of CatCo Magazine.
Created by Gardner Fox and Mike Sekowsky, Snapper Carr made his first appearance in 1960’s “The Brave and the Bold” #28 and was designed to be a “hip” teen to which readers could relate. Although Snapper Carr doesn’t have an super powers, he nevertheless became an honorary member of the Justice League of America.
Melissa Benoist leads the cast of Supergirl as the title character alongside Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Laura Benanti as Alura Zor-El, Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant, Chyler Leigh as Alexandra “Alex” Danvers, Jeremy Jordan as Winslow “Winn” Schott, Jenna Dewan Tatum as Lucy Lane (sister of Lois), David Harewood as Hank Henshaw, Peter Facinelli as Maxwell Lord, with Dean Cain and Helen Slater. Supergirl season two is also adding recurring roles for Lynda Carter as the President of the United States and Tyler Hoechlin as Superman.
Best known for his leading role on Cougar Town, Ian Gomez recently appeared on the big screen as part of the returning cast of My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2.
Supergirl airs at 8/7c p.m. Mondays on The CW. The second season premieres on October 10th.
