Woody Allen‘s Amazon series will henceforth be known as “Crisis in Six Scenes,” and it’s set to premiere September 30 on Prime Video.
“Crisis in Six Scenes” is a comedy that takes place in the 1960s during turbulent times in the United States, when a middle class suburban family is visited by a guest who turns their household completely upside down, per Amazon’s official synopsis. The six half-hour episodes will star Allen, Miley Cyrus and Elaine May. Rachel Brosnahan and John Magaro are recurring guest actors.
“Crisis” is executive produced by Erika Aronson and produced by Helen Robin. Allen directs and writes as well as stars. Amazon is presenting (other) new and returning series today at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour, which takes place in the Beverly Hilton’s International Ballroom.
