Amy Hennig, the former creative director of the Uncharted series and current senior creative director of Visceral Games, will deliver the opening keynote at PAX West 2016. PAX West will be held at the Washington State Convention Center from September 2 – 5, 2016.
Hennig worked with Naughty Dog for more than a decade, helping craft the Uncharted franchise and one of modern gaming’s most iconic heroes. At Visceral Games, she is working on a project based in the Star Wars universe.
“Amy’s revolutionary work on the Uncharted series played an immeasurable role in shaping the modern gaming landscape,” said Jerry Holkins, co-founder, Penny Arcade. “We’re thrilled PAX West attendees will have the chance to listen to one of gaming’s leading visionaries.”
Prior to her time with Visceral, Hennig worked at Naughty Dog for 10 years, including as director and writer on the first three Uncharted games, for which she won two Writers Guild of America Video Game Writing awards. Hennig was also given a special award by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts earlier this year.
