A Kickstarter update for Hyper Light Drifter has announced that the previously revealed PS Vita and Wii U versions of the game have been cancelled.
It appears the native port option in Game Maker Pro just isn’t up to the job, “We pushed the engine to do things it was never meant to do,” explained a representative. Recreating the game in new engine would take at least six months, and the developer has decided to spend the time supporting the PC, Xbox One, and PS4 versions of the game.
Those who backed the game on Kickstarter and selected the Wii U and Vita options can get a full refund.
