Microsoft has made it possible for Skype users to sign into other Microsoft services with their Skype username and password.
For example, people who have Skype credentials will be able to use them to log into Xbox, Office, or OneDrive. Moreover, people will be able to use those services across devices and platforms with this new single sign-in, negating the need to enter separate usernames and passwords for each Microsoft service across their devices.
Microsoft is now wholly managing the Skype sign-in screen, password change, and account recovery flow, but none of these changes impact how people access and use Skype.
Microsoft says the single sign-in tool will be available in the newest versions of the Skype app across platforms in the days ahead.
