Twitter has added several new tools that users can employ to improve their experience on the social network.
To start, Twitter is more aggressively identifying and hiding abusive and low-quality replies. The idea here is to prevent users from seeing potentially hurtful responses to their tweets. Twitter says these responses will still be accessible to those who want to see them, but it will default prevent them from appearing by default.
Plus Twitter has taken steps to prevent suspended users from creating new accounts. Twitter says this specifically targets trolls and other accounts created solely for purposes of abuse.
finally, Twitter is working to improve search with safer results. The company will remove abusive or explicit content from search results, as well as hide content from blocked or muted accounts.
Twitter says this content will remain discoverable, but it won’t automatically appear in search results. Twitter plans to roll these improvements out to all users in the weeks ahead
