A new trailer is out for the upcoming live-action film The Little Mermaid based on the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale from 1837 . This version stars Shirley MacLaine (Terms of Endearment), Poppy Drayton (Downton Abbey), William Moseley (The Chronicles of Narnia), Loreto Peralta (Instructions Not Included) and Gina Gershon (Empire).
The film is directed by Blake Harris and Chris Bouchard and the script was written by Harris. Bouchard did visual effects for the film Gravity and directed Hackney’s Finest. Harris wrote 12 Dates of Christmas. The Little Mermaid is set to be released sometime this year.
