FXX is working on a currently untitled animated series based on the Marvel Comics character Deadpool.
Atlanta creators/executive producers Donald Glover and Stephen Glover will spearhead the new series as showrunners, executive producers, and writers. Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory are also serving as executive producers.
In a statement, Jeph Loeb says:
“How much more fun could this be? Deadpool, Donald and FX – the perfect fit for the Merc with the Mouth! We’re thrilled that our relationship with FX that started with Legion continues with what is sure to be a groundbreaking show in adult animation.”
FXX has ordered a ten-episode first season to debut in 2018.
