Actor, playwright and composer Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton) has signed onto the voice cast of the new DuckTales series debuting this summer on Disney XD.
The lifelong DuckTales fan will be the voice of Gizmoduck, aka. Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera. The characterin the reboot is no longer Scrooge’s bumbling accountant – he’s now a brilliant young intern working for Scrooge McDuck’s personal mad scientist, Gyro Gearloose.
Miranda will recur alongside the regular cast of David Tennant as Scrooge McDuck; Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz and Bobby Moynihan as the voices of Huey, Dewey and Louie, respectively; Kate Micucci as Webby; Beck Bennett as Launchpad McQuack and Toks Olagundoye as Mrs. Beakley.
The series has already been picked up for a second season ahead of its highly-anticipated premiere.
