Janelle Monae (Hidden Figures) is on the top choice list to play one of the three female leads in a Elizabeth Banks’ Charlie’s Angels reboot at Sony Pictures.
The Tracking Board reportes Narcos creators Carlo Bernard and Doug Miro have been brought in to rewrite the script for the new film which Evan Spiliotopoulos (Beauty and the Beast) previously worked on.
Right no casting is not official and the script is still unfinished. Official offers aren’t expected for a while. Even with so much still up in the air, Sony has earmarked a June 7th 2019 release for the film.
The film will be Elizabeth Banks’ second directorial job, following her successful debut with Pitch Perfect 2. Banks is also producing with Max Handelman.
