Filmmaker Neill Blomkamp’s (District 9, Elysium, Chappie) Oats Studios has released its second short film, titled Firebase. See the short below!
Firebase is the second independently made sci-fi short released by Oats Studios. the first short was the Sigourney Weaver starring Rakka. Firebase is set during the Vietnam war and follows American soldier “Hines” through ever deepening set of science fiction madness where time bends.
Blomkamp took to Twitter to answer some questions about the project of shorts. Volume 1 of the series will have three shorts approximately 20 minutes in length each we found out during the Q and A.
“The goal is to see ‘if’ the audience likes them and ‘if’ they would be willing to pay for volume 2,” the director said. “They are too short to charge now.”
