Jorge Lendeborg Jr. (The Land, Spider-Man: Homecoming) is in talks to play the young male led opposite Hailee Steinfeld’s main character in the Transformers spin-off flick Bumblebee at Paramount Pictures.
Travis Knight (Kubo and the Two Strings) is directing the latest installment in the franchise which is described as a period piece set in the 1980s. Steinfeld will play a tomboy who also holds a job as a mechanic after school when she encounters the yellow and black striped Autobot.
Bumblebee is planned for a June 8th 2018 release. Lendeborg Jr. will soon be seen in Alita: Battle Angel and Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda.
