Instagram users will soon be able to broadcast live video together with another Instagram user.
The picture-sharing social network is testing a feature that will allow users to add a friend to their own live stream. Once added, the stream splits the screen in two, with the original live streamer on top and the added friend below. Viewers will be able to like and comment as usual.
The original broadcaster can remove the guest or add more friends whenever they wish, and the added friend can also exit the live broadcast on their own. Live videos may be saved to users’ stories, or discarded.
Instagram is testing the feature with a small percentage of users. It expects to roll the video tool out to all users within a few months
