Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi serves as the cover story for Entertainment Weekly’s 2017 Fall film preview guide, and as a result the magazine has unleashed two alternate covers and several lovely new images from the film.
The film sees John Boyega’s Finn, who is now a ‘big deal’ in the Resistance, embarking on a mission to the casino city Canto Bight with the help of a mechanic (Kelly Marie Tran). Meanwhile, Daisy Ridley’s finds Mark Hamill’s Luke as “a man overpowered by regret, eager to close the book on his past while living out the rest of his days on an isolated island”.
More details on Oscar Isaac’s Poe and Carrie Fisher’s Leia are expected tomorrow along with quotes from Johnson about his aims for the film.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens in December.
