Netflix has announced a December 8th world premiere date for the upcoming second season of its prestige drama The Crown.
Claire Foy and Matt Smith lead the series which tells the inside story of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign with the fragile social order established after the Second World War falling apart.
The season begins with the illegal war in Egypt and runs through to the downfall of Prime Minister Harold Macmillan.
