John Carpenter is set to direct a pilot for an untitled series written by X-Men scribe David Hayter.
The project, Carpenter’s first non-short directed work since 2010’s The Ward and his first TV work since the Masters of Horror series in 2005, will be penned and produced by Hayter who revealed Carpenter’s involvement during a recent convention appearance reports Bloody Disgusting.
Sadly Hayter didn’t reveal what the show he and Carpenter are collaborating on is about. Hayter’s name has been linked to the currently in development series ReincarNate about a down-on-his-luck P.I. who gains the ability to interact with versions of himself from past lives. Please note he is not listed as a writer on that project.
