Curzon Artificial Eye has released a new UK trailer for Janus Metz’s Borg vs. McEnroe film about the infamous 1980 Wimbledon match between two tennis giants.
The world is waiting to see the number one tennis player in the world, Bjorn Borg (Sverrir Gudnason), claim his fifth Wimbledon title. At only 24, Borg is run-down, worn out and ridden with anxiety.
The challenger is John McEnroe (Shia LaBeouf), 20, who has decided to replace his former hero on the Wimbledon throne but is imprisoned by his own career and reputation as a ‘Superbrat’.
Set to premiere at the Toronto Film Festival next month, the film opens September 22nd in the UK ahead of a 2018 U.S. release
