Ok Jack Bauer used a Zoom Q3 in the last hours of 24. If he had another day in him, he could have used the smallest ever handheld voice recorder, the H1 Handy Recorder. The ultra-portable device weighs just two ounces and has two microphones arranged in an X/Y pattern.
It has a new UI, which Zoom toutes as easier to use that gives quicker access to a track marker, auto recording, a low-cut filter, levels and volume controls. Recordings are stored on microSDHC cards up to 32GB, which can hold up to 50 hours of audio. A 2GB card is included, as is a single AA battery which powers the Q3 for 10 hours.
The Zoom H1 ships on July 30th for $99.
