NBC is bringing back Marlon. The network has renewed Marlon Wayans’ loosely autobiographical sitcom for a second season. Marlon, which aired its Season 1 finale earlier this month, stars Wayans as a devoted father of two who maintains a friendly relationship with his ex-wife.
Essence Atkins, Bresha Webb, Diallo Riddle, Notlim Taylor and Amir O’Neil round out the cast.Christopher Moynihan is the show’s writer and executive producer. Wayans, Rick Alvarez and Michael Rotenberg also executive produce. Marlon was the summer’s most-watched new scripted series on broadcast television, thanks in part to a coveted America’s Got Talent lead-in.
