Ellen Page has joined the cast if the upcoming Netflix live action series adaptation of Gerard Way’s popular graphic novel series The Umbrella Academy.
The story follows the estranged members of a dysfunctional family of superheroes – Luther, Diego, Allison, Vanya, Klaus and Number Five – whose divergent personalities threaten to tear them apart just as they work together to solve their father’s mysterious death.
Page will play Vanya, an insecure wallflower and the family black sheep who was adopted and has no supernatural abilities. Universal Cable Productions will produce with Steve Blackman serving as executive producer and showrunner.
