Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Blade Runner 2049) is set to star in the upcoming action-comedy Stuber, according to Deadline.
The film will be directed by Michael Dowse (What If, Goon). The story of a detective (Bautista) “who commandeers an unsuspecting Uber driver named Stu into a harrowing evening of hijinks and mayhem.”
The script for Stuber was written by Tripper Clancy, who came up with the idea with his manager Jake Wagner and developed the script with Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley. Daley and Goldstein will reportedly produce for Fox with Wagner as an executive producer. Jeremy Kramer will oversee for 20th Century Fox.
Dave Bautista is best known for playing Drax in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies for Marvel. He’s also known for his work as a professional wrestler and mixed martial artist.
He’ll next be seen in Avengers: Infinity War, where he’ll reprise his Guardians of the Galaxy role of Drax the Destroyer.
