UPS has pre-ordered 125 of Tesla’s new fully electric semis, the “largest known order for the big rig so far,” according to Reuters.
esla expects to kick off production of the trucks in 2019, and UPS will be among the first companies to put them to work. UPS, which operates one of the world’s largest commercial trucking fleets, has already provided Tesla with “real-world UPS trucking lane information” to help the EV maker ensure its trucks can handle the job.
