One month after the Moto X4 Android One got its Android 8.0 update, the standard version of the Moto X4 is receiving its own Oreo treat.
Motorola has confirmed that the Moto X4 is now getting Android 8.0 Oreo. Over on the Lenovo (the Owner of Motorola) forums, a Motorola support rep wrote about the Oreo update.
“Deployment for Oreo update has started but not everyone would have it, all at the same time. Please be advised that OTA updates not just depend on the Model and the Country but with the Carrier as well. We recommend waiting for the official release of OTA update, as you will receive notification about the update once available.”
That’s not surprising, as OTA updates typically go out in stages.
The Android 8.0 update brings new features like picture-in-picture and notification dots, which will let you see from your home screen if an app has alerts for you.
