Apple has handed out a straight-to-series order for a drama series that hails from La La Land and Whiplash writer/director Damien Chazelle.
Chazelle will reportedly write and direct every episode of the series, as well as serve as executive producer alongside his La La Land collaborators Jordan Horowitz and Fred Berger. Chazelle is currently in production on the Neill Armstrong biopic First Man starring Ryan Gosling.
The project isn’t to be confused with Netflix’s The Eddy, a musical drama about a cl2ub, its owner, the house band, and the chaotic French city that surrounds them.
Chazelle is executive producing that and will direct a few episodes, but not the whole run like he will on the Apple series.
