Actor Josh Brolin has confirmed on social media over the weekend that the Deadpool sequel is undergoing reshoots right now, with this additional filming both long planned and so far going smoothly.
The project began filming in June in Vancouver and wrapped in October, with this additional filming coming before the film’s opening on May 18th. Brolin also took the time to make fun of both his workout routine, and insinuate co-star Ryan Reynolds uses CG enhancements on his abs.
That has been followed by Reynolds hitting back yesterday, Brolin’s birthday, with a post on Instagram celebrating one of Brolin’s other iconic roles – as Sean Astin’s older brother in Richard Donner’s The Goonies.
Next up, it has been revealed that comic book character Shatterstar will appear in the film with Colossus actor Stefan Kapicic confirming that it is indeed Terry Crews next to Deadpool in a shot from the trailer, and behind Crews is Shatterstar. This has led to plenty of talk about how much of the comics property X-Force will figure into the film.
Finally, Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld has shared a new look at Brolin and himself on the sequel’s set during the reshoots.
