With Black Panther on course to earn up to $180 million over the four day weekend, it’s understandable that Marvel Studios is very hay with the movie and the team that worked on it.
In a recent interview with Variety, Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige said the company “absolutely” wants to get writer/director Ryan Coogler back. Asked if he thinks the Creed filmmaker would return, he responded:
“I hope so.”
Feige was also asked how many more Black Panther movies we could see:
“We always say we work on one movie at a time. If you have any good ideas, put it in the movie you’re making. If you don’t, you might not be able to make another one. That said, Panther has been around for more than half a century in the comic books and there are many, many stories to tell.”
The film has already opened in select overseas markets this week and has already pulled in over $23.2 million.
