Here’s the first look at YouTube Red’s upcoming action drama series Impulse, directed and executive produced by Doug Liman (Bourne Identity). The genre-bending hourlong action-thriller hails from Universal Cable Productions and studio-based Hypnotic (Suits) and marks the first UCP series for YouTube.
Based on the third novel in the Jumper series by Steven Gould, Impulse features a rebellious 16-year-old girl, Henry (Maddie Hasson) who has always felt different from her peers and has longed to escape from her seemingly quaint small town. She soon discovers she has the extraordinary ability to teleport.
Rounding out the cast are Missi Pyle, Sarah Desjardins, Enuka Okuma, Craig Arnold and David James Elliott. The show will host a panel at this weekend’s WonderCon moderated by Laura Prudom, Executive TV Editor at IGN, with executive producers Liman and Gene Klein, showrunner Lauren LeFranc and actors Maddie Hasson, Missi Pyle and Daniel Maslany.
Impulse is slated to premiere on YouTube Red this summer.
