LG today said it will unveil its next flagship smartphone at a pair of events, one in New York City on May 2 and another in its home city of Seoul, South Korea, on May 3.
The G7 ThinQ will be among a new wave of handsets from LG to include what it calls Empathy AI, or the ability to perform more thinking tasks, particularly with respect to the camera. LG says the G7 ThinQ will:
“upgrade the performance and convenience of ‘sympathetic AI’, as well as the ability to work with other devices.”
LG has been adding elements of artificial intelligence to its other product lines, such as television sets and refrigerators.
LG hasn’t said much else about the G7 ThinQ, though leaked images suggest the phone may have a notch like other devices released over the course of the last year.
