The first trailer and two new character posters have been revealed for Summit Entertainment’s upcoming Robin Hood film which was directed by Otto Bathurst and opens November 21st.
The story follows a war-hardened Crusader Robin (Taron Egerton) and Moorish commander Little John (Jamie Foxx) mount an audacious revolt against the corrupt English crown – revealing how Robin Hood and his merry men became the icon and legends we know.
Ben Mendelsohn stars as the villain of the piece, the Sheriff of Nottingham, with the likes of Jamie Dornan as Will Scarlett and Eve Hewson as Maid Marion. Joby Harold penned the script for this take.
Egerton is gearing up to star as Elton John in the film Rocketman and revealed to Collider this week that it’s not a biopic but rather a “fantasy musical”.
