Atomic Heart is a first-person shooter in which events unfold in an alternative universe. In this world, the Soviet Union is still a force to be reckoned with. The main character is a special agent, who is sent to a secret installation by the government after it goes dark. The Soviet setting, with a pitch of insanity, and a supposedly thrilling story should keep you entertained while you fight various types of enemies.
Atomic Heart should launch on Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4 in 2018. It’s unclear if the title supports Xbox One X but we’ll keep you posted as soon as we know more.
Aside from the Metro franchise, not many first-person games focus on Russia so it’s great to see Atomic Heart make its way to consoles. It’s unclear why the region isn’t a setting for more games, but that seems to be changing nowadays. As developers try to bring new experiences to gamers, it’s only natural that new settings will be explored.
