While it didn’t premiere at Cannes this year as rumored, House of Flying Daggers and The Great Wall director Zhang Yimou’s new film Shadow will likely get a Fall festival show. With that in mind, a new trailer for it has arrived and can be seen below:
There is no translation on the clip yet, but it’s as visually gorgeous as something you’d expect from Yimou who adopts an almost monochromatic palette for the feature set in the Three Kingdoms Era of China.
Further specifics of the plot are under wraps. Deng Chao, Sun Li, Zheng Kai, and Guan Xiaotong star in the film which aims to premiere in the Fall.
