Scandal star Tony Goldwyn will star opposite Uma Thurman in Netflix’s new drama Chambers it was announced Thursday.
The 10-episode, hour-long supernatural series is written and created by Leah Rachel. Akela Cooper will be co-showrunner with Rachel. The story will follow a young heart attack survivor who becomes obsessed with the mystery surrounding the heart that saved her life. The closer Rachel comes to finding out the truth about her donor’s sudden death, she starts taking on characteristics of the deceased, and it gets sinister.
Goldwyn will play Ben Lefevre, the father of the heart donor, Becky. Here’s his official character description:
“His warm charm and practical business acumen conceals a mystical bent that knows no bounds. He is also the philanthropic owner of Annex Power. Born in El Paso, Ben’s money is self-made, and he attributes a large portion of that to The Annex Foundation – a new age spiritual center. After the death of his daughter, Ben becomes even more devoted to their cause.”
Stephen Gaghan will executive produce the series through Super Emotional, as will Rachel and Cooper. Wolfgang Hammer and Winnie Kemp will executive produce with Super Deluxe. Alfonso Gomez-Rejon will also executive produce and direct the pilot.
