HTC is laying off 1,500 employees (out of 6,450 worldwide) from its manufacturing division in Taiwan.
This comes after the company transferred 2,000 employees to Google in a deal earlier this year, and laid off 2,300 employees in 2015.
The company has been struggling to find profitability, and has been losing market share in the mobile space for years.
