Hollywood is set to release a film about arguably the most well-liked of the judges on America’s highest court– Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Following on from the doco “RBG” comes the biopic On the Basis of Sex starring Rogue One star Felicity Jones as Ginsburg with the first trailer being released today.
The true story tale follows her as a young lawyer who teams with her husband Marty (Armie Hammer) to bring a groundbreaking case before the U.S. Court of Appeals and overturn a century of gender discrimination.
Kathy Bates, Sam Waterston, Jack Reynor, Stephen Root, Cailee Spaeny and Justin Theroux co-star in the Mimi Leder-directed release which being timed to her 25th anniversary on the Supreme Court.
On the Basis of Sex opens at Christmas.
